Focus Global Logistics Completes Two Complex Project Cargo
We are pleased to highlight two successful oversized cargo projects completed by our member, Shenzhen Focus Global Logistics Corporation (FGL), demonstrating the company's expertise in managing complex break-bulk (BBK) and out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments across both maritime and overland transport.
The recently completed operations included a heavy-lift BBK shipment from Shanghai, China, to Mumbai, India, as well as a 10,000-kilometer overland OOG transport from Foshan, China, to Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Both projects required detailed planning, technical expertise, and close coordination to overcome operational and regulatory challenges.
Project 1: Shanghai – Mumbai BBK Sea Freight
FGL's Shanghai branch successfully managed the transportation of a complete set of industrial injection-molding machines from Shanghai to Mumbai, totaling 159.98 tons across 12 individual packages.
The project included a 76.5-ton clamping unit, classified as an extra-heavy break-bulk piece, alongside several smaller components weighing less than one ton. The varying weights, irregular dimensions, and oversized profiles required specialized lifting arrangements and carefully engineered vessel stowage.
To ensure smooth execution, FGL coordinated:
- Detailed cargo measurement and lifting plans
- Heavy-lift crane arrangements for the largest unit
- Optimized stowage planning to balance vessel loading
- Unified customs documentation and cargo tracking
- Continuous supervision from factory loading through vessel departure
The shipment was loaded without delays, and comprehensive pre-loading inspections ensured safe ocean transportation.
Project 2: China – Russia OOG Road Transport
At the same time, FGL successfully completed a door-to-door road transport project moving oversized mechanical stretching machines from Foshan, China, to Krasnoyarsk, Russia, covering more than 10,000 kilometers via the Manzhouli border crossing.
The road solution was selected as an alternative to congested China–Russia rail services, allowing the customer to maintain production schedules despite ongoing capacity constraints.
During the project, FGL successfully managed several operational challenges, including:
- Customs and regulatory changes within the Kazakhstan–Russia Customs Union
- Heavy border congestion caused by diverted freight traffic
- Cross-border coordination across multiple jurisdictions
- Specialized trailer arrangements and route surveys for oversized cargo
Through continuous communication with border authorities, suppliers, and logistics partners, the shipment was delivered safely while maintaining compliance throughout the journey.
Demonstrating Comprehensive Project Cargo Expertise
Together, these two successful operations highlight Shenzhen Focus Global Logistics Corporation's capability to manage complex BBK and OOG projects across multiple transport modes, combining engineering expertise, operational flexibility, and end-to-end project coordination.
We congratulate our member, Shenzhen Focus Global Logistics Corporation, on these outstanding achievements and their continued commitment to delivering reliable project cargo solutions worldwide.
