GMT Transpeed Delivers OOG Tanks with Precision in Singapore

We’re proud to share a recent achievement by our FM member GMT Transpeed Pte. Ltd., one of the trusted Singapore transport companies and freight forwarders, who successfully managed the delivery of oversized tanks under challenging conditions.
 

The shipment included two large tanks and two smaller tanks transported under FOB terms from Tianjin, China, to Singapore, stuffed into 2 x 40’ FR OOG containers.
 

Upon arrival, GMT Transpeed arranged a police escort from the port to their warehouse. The loose items were then delivered to a construction site.

The Challenge:

A key hurdle was the oversized dimension of the large tanks (6.8m x 4m x 4m) and the limited clearance at the site entrance.

The Solution:

GMT Transpeed overcame this by using a super lowbed trailer, keeping the total cargo height at 4.6m, just within the 4.85m entrance clearance—achieving a delivery precision of only 0.25m.
