HFS Global Coordinates Origin Operations and Ocean Freight

For this shipment, HFS Global arranged the pre-carriage transportation from Stuttgart to Hamburg Terminal, including German export customs and port clearance procedures.

The company also coordinated the ocean freight arrangements for the shipment to San Antonio, Chile.

HFS Global's scope of services included:

  • Pre-carriage from Stuttgart to Hamburg Terminal
  • Export customs and port clearance coordination in Germany
  • Ocean freight arrangements from Germany to Chile
  • International logistics coordination

Connecting FM Members for Destination Handling

As part of the transportation arrangements, HFS Global connected its logistics agent in Argentina with fellow FM member, TC Logistics, to establish direct communication regarding destination handling requirements.

Rather than working directly with TC Logistics, HFS Global facilitated the introduction, allowing its Argentine agent and TC Logistics to coordinate the destination-side arrangements.

This connection highlights how the Freight Midpoint network brings logistics professionals together across international markets, helping members establish valuable business relationships.

Supporting International Freight Operations

The shipment demonstrates the importance of coordination between logistics providers across different stages of international transportation.

While HFS Global managed the origin-side arrangements and ocean freight, the connection with TC Logistics provided a channel for coordinating destination handling through HFS Global's Argentine agent.

We are pleased to see our members, HFS Global and TC Logistics, connected through this international shipment and look forward to more business opportunities developing across the Freight Midpoint network.
