Name Badge Sponsor | Art of Executing Logistics

WWW Cargo Pte Ltd, a senior member of Freight Midpoint (FM) since 2014, has been a key player in the logistics industry, providing comprehensive freight solutions from Singapore. Established in 2001, the company has grown from a local logistics provider to a global freight forwarder, offering sea and air freight, warehousing, and specialized shipments. As a long-time supporter of INO Summit, they continue their commitment as the Name Badge Sponsor for INO Summit 2025. In our interview with Director Kwok Chee Wei and his esteemed team, we discussed the company’s evolution, key milestones, and the role of logistics networks in their success.

Could you share the story behind your company’s entry into the freight forwarding industry and how it has evolved over time?

"Our company is a freight forwarding company based in Singapore, established in 2001. Initially, we started as a small logistics provider, focusing solely on local shipments. Over time, as market demand grew and global trade expanded, we adapted by broadening our services to offer end-to-end supply chain solutions. Today, we manage both sea and air freight and provide value-added services such as customs clearance, DAP/DDP arrangements, warehousing, personal effects shipments, and server shipments."

Could you highlight key milestones in your company’s history and how your experience has shaped your position in the market today?

  • 2001—We started our journey as a company under the name WWW Cargo.
  • 2002—We launched our own warehousing services for cargo.
  • 2005 to 2006—We expanded by operating our own fleet of trucks, enhancing the convenience and efficiency of our cargo deliveries.
  • 2006—We further progressed by starting our own Italy consolidation services for both air and sea freight, including all European cargo.
  • 2010 to 2012—As China and other ASEAN countries shifted towards faster-paced shipments, we adapted to handle increased cargo volumes.
  • 2012 to present—We have continuously focused on improving our services and enhancing efficiency.

Which services do you offer, and what distinguishes your company from other freight forwarders in your country?

"Our company provides sea freight and air freight services (import, export, and cross-trade arrangements), import DAP/DDP arrangements, warehousing, personal effects shipments, and server shipments."

What opportunities for improvement do you see in the freight forwarding industry, and how do you think companies can address them?

"Focusing on sustainability and environmental responsibility allows freight forwarders to adopt eco-friendly practices. Offering e-copy shipping documents, greener transportation options, optimized routes, and energy-efficient technologies can attract environmentally conscious customers and set us apart from competitors."

From your perspective, what is the value of being part of a logistics network, and how has your experience with our network contributed to your success?

"Being part of a logistics network means joining a group of independent international freight forwarders who come together as an association to be represented collectively in the logistics industry.

This network provides freight forwarders with a secure environment based on financial protection and long-term business relationships, enabling them to generate more business opportunities.

A logistics network primarily supports small and medium-sized companies like ours by facilitating international trade for their importer and exporter customers through a validated representation.

Through Freight Midpoint, we benefit from financial security and long-term relationships with other forwarders, which help us create new business opportunities. Additionally, the network ensures that all logistics and foreign trade operations are conducted safely and efficiently."
