The INO Summit 2027 is a three-day joint conference, which brings the members of three well-known associations under INO Networks Group together on 7, 8, 9 May, 2027 at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Hotel, Malaysia. The summit is held by participation of the members from Freight Midpoint International Forwarders Network (FM), Freight Forwarders Family Worldwide Agents Network (3F) and Overseas Project Cargo Association (OPCA). These three associations are independent and separate from one another and have different members. Each association serves different expectations, needs and strategies of freight forwarders and logistics companies. They come together for this glorious summit to create a perfect synergy, potential and networking opportunities.

Freight Midpoint's 12th Annual General Meeting will be held during 7, 8, 9 May, 2027 at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Hotel, Malaysia.

You are invited to join us, - Catch human touch, make friends, win new partners and increase your shipment volume. Super productive, beneficial and intensive agent networking days are waiting for professional freight forwarders and logistics companies.

A face-to-face meeting plays a significant part in communication and business. It is not just how you said something, but your facial expressions and body posture are also important. Nobody handles their client’s cargo with someone never met. It is a vital point in worldwide agent networking and it is requested from all professional agents to attend AGM regarding the natural philosophy of Freight Midpoint.

The key success factor of our association and our power is coming from “being associated with LIKE-MINDED people who are focused on one common goal of achieving success”. What FM offers is friendship in a productive and effective business environment. You will have new friends (REAL) and partners (ACTIVE) in FM Family.

The INO Summit is a Great Concept! While we keep associations independent from one another, keep group features and strengthen group mentality for the associations under INO Networks Group, the summit provides a great opportunity to meet more potential partners in freight, logistics and shipping industry. Remind that members are allowed to arrange one-to-one meetings with members of their own association only.

The INO Summit 2027 is a unique joint conference with its distinguished feature of keeping each association’s specialty while giving more networking opportunities to attendees during social events such as Welcome Cocktail, Coffee Breaks, Lunches, Gala Dinner.

Celebrated for its breathtaking skyline, bustling street energy, and rich multicultural heritage, KL is a destination that demands to be explored.

Climate

During our meeting in May climate falls within the dry season and features some of the greatest weather of the whole year. In May, the afternoon temperatures reach an average high of 32°C, while the nighttime temperatures range around 23°C.

Language

The official language of Kuala Lumpur is Bahasa Malaysia. However, many residents are well-versed in English and speak it as their first language. It is widely used in business and education sectors. Cantonese and Mandarin languages are spoken by the Chinese population. Other languages are Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Punjabi, etc. spoken by the Indian minority and Minangkabau and Javanese spoken by the Indonesians.

Time

Malaysian Standard Time is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+8).

Currency and Credit Cards

The Malaysian currency is called the Ringgit. Ringgit Symbols: MYR (in currency exchange), RM (to express prices). One Ringgit is divided into 100 Sen. Malaysian coins come in 5, 10, 20 and 50 Sen denominations in a variety of different materials and finishes. Banknotes are available in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 Ringgits. The exchange centres can be found at airports, most hotels, and in large shopping centres. The popular international credit and debit cards, such as VISA, MasterCard, Cirrus and Maestro, are generally accepted nationwide in larger establishments. Recommend you tell your bank in advance that you’re travelling abroad so that your card isn’t blocked, it can help avoid an embarrassing and awkward situation later. Please also make sure you have some cash on you, too, just in case of any issue.

Electricity

Malaysia utilizes Type G power sockets (three-pin rectangular plug). The standard official voltage is 230 V with a frequency of 50 Hz. We advise bringing a universal adapter if your devices use different plug types.

Business Hours

  • Government Offices: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Weekdays only).

  • Banks: 9:15 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday to Friday).

  • Shopping Malls: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (Daily).

  • Dining & Nightlife: KL is famous for its round-the-clock food culture; many local eateries and street markets operate 24/7 or remain open until midnight.

Shopping

Kuala Lumpur is known as a Shopping Heaven. Especially in the central district of KL (also known as KLCC - Kuala Lumpur City Center), you can find a variety of shopping malls. The following malls are favorites, and certainly worth a visit: Pavilion KL, Midvalley Mega Mall & The Gardens, Berjaya Times Square, Suria KLCC and 1 Utama. Most malls are located at the Bintang Walk, along Jalan Bukit Bintang. Shopping in KL seems like an activity no one will ever get fed up with. Most malls are opened daily between 10 am and 10 pm. The only downside is that after a few visits every mall will start to look like the one before. Many of the shops in one mall can also be found in others. Fortunately, after a while you will know exactly where to shop. There are several sales yearly; these usually take place in August, May and December.

Tipping & Taxes

Tipping is not traditional or expected in Malaysia. Most restaurants and hotels automatically include a 10% service charge plus a 6% service tax (SST) on the bill. For exceptional service, rounding up the bill or leaving the change is appreciated but entirely optional.
